Included with the Basler BCAM 1394 driver. To see the firmware ID number: 1. Attach your camera to a computer equipped with the BCAM 1394 driver. Double click the BCAM Viewer icon on your desktop or click Start ⇒ All Programs ⇒ Basler Vision Technologies ⇒ BCAM 1394 ⇒ BCAM Viewer. The viewer program window will open. The pylon driver package is designed to operate with all IEEE 1394 and GigE Vision Basler line scan and area scan cameras. The pylon driver offers stable, reliable, flexible image data exchange between Basler cameras and PCs at a very low CPU load. Basler area-scan camera with IEEE 1394 interface has a standard six-pin IEEE 1394 connector that transmits video data from the camera to the host computer, sends control and parameter signals from the host computer to the camera, and supplies power to the camera. To test your FireWire camera for compatibility with the toolbox on Windows, download the CMU 1394 digital camera driver from the CMU web site and run their demo application (1394CameraDemo.exe). If you can operate your FireWire camera using the CMU demo application, the device will work with Image Acquisition Toolbox.

| A300 cameras can be triggered via an external sync signal or run in an internally controlled 'free-run' mode. On cameras with Channel link output, settings can be changed via a serial port. On IEEE 1394 cameras, settings can be changed via the 1394 bus. A300 cameras operate with a single voltage power supply and have the advantage of remarkably simple cabling requirements. An optional converter is available for Channel Link cameras to transform the video data output to standard RS-644 LVDS. | |
